Newsletter: 1.0
Operating System: Linux
PHP Version: 4.4.x
Database and version: 5
Description
While creating a newsletter, these fields:
- Name;
- Newsletter Category;
- Pretext/Posttext;
are not normally used in the newsletter, maybe are there for future releases, maybe Pretext and Posttext are there to override those already set in the newsletter type specification. In any case they seems to introduce a lot of confusion for the user that needs to create the newsletter, that is focused on the associated object (usually an objects relation list, plus some text)
Text inserted into an XML block type field using the Online Editor is not published.
Steps to reproduce
A newsletter type is created.
A user subscribes to that newsletter.
For that newsletter type, a newsletter is created, using a valid content class named "Newsletter issue".
When the newsletter is modified, the text in the XML block type field, disappears.
The cronjobs build_list and send_newsletter are executed.
The subscribed user receives the email, but the text inserted by the Online Editor is not shown.
