          André Rømcke isn't it the same as EZP-25122 ? That said,AFAIK there's no strong requirement of what should be in that field, I mean it can be any string, no ?

          It is a duplicate, but in EZP-25122 it is suggested to return to have a drop down based on configured locales so it needs to be configured first before being selectable, that said the system does not care besides the mapping to actual locale in Symfony will fail if you enter gibberish.
