So, it's documented, that <li> element can have a classification.

But in templates/content/datatype/view/zxmltags/li.tpl there is:

<li>{$content}</li>

So:
a) <li> cannot have a classification and it's wrong documented or
b) <li> can have a classification, but it's missing in the template
