On a multi language installation editing a translated object (with more than 2 languages) and publishing it from preview will crash this object.
The result will be two versions with published status. It is not possible to view the object in admin anymore. The system has to be fixed by hand in database to bring this object back to life.

This bug is not reproduce able in 3.9.

Steps to reproduce

1) Edit object (with more than two language versions) in new language
2) Enter new language data
3) Press "view" button to preview
4) Press "Publish" button in preview window
Result: Two entries in child list, both does not work. One with new language name and one without name.
In DB the latest version only contains two languages (the new and the initial), all other languages are lost.
