When using site skeleton, the content architecture is copied over. Root content item has the same name as the site skeleton
When not using site skeleton, a new folder is created with the name of the site.

It's better to have consistency and change the name of the root content item with the name of the new created site.
Also users will not be lost when going straight to the content structure. They will quickly identify the new item in the content structure
