The current implementation for supporting session in Redis does not work as the code which sets the corresponding php.ini settings is only run at compile time, not on every page request.

Two ideas has been proposed for fixing the problem

• Writing our own Symfony Session handler, the code is quite trivial
• Overload web.commands.start, setting the correct ini settings when php-fpm starts
