Richtext tables: adding a new cell makes it impossible to write in any other cells from the column the added cell was created in Firefox

    Details

    • Type: Bug Bug
    • Status: Backlog
    • Priority: High High
    • Resolution: Unresolved
    • Affects Version/s: 1.10.0-beta3
    • Fix Version/s: QA tracked issues
    • Labels:
    • Environment:

      Operating System: Debian 8
      PHP Version: 5.6.30-0+deb8u1
      Database and version: Mysql 5.5.54-0+deb8u1
      Browser (and version): Firefox 53
      Env: Prod

      Description

      Steps to Reproduce
      • Create one 3x3 table in a richtext field
      • go to the middle most right cell
      • Add one cell after (This will create another column with the cell and not exactly another cell)
      • A new cell is created in the right, along with a new column. Now try to access the first and last cells on that column (the red cells in the attached screenshoot). We verify that we can't.

Edit: Only happens on firefox. In chrome, a new cell is indeed added, but in firefox it seems that a whole column is added instead of only a cell. I've added a screnncast

Confirmed, however reason is that there is no cells there even if it looks like it, see chrome where it will visualize this more correct.

Solution would be to only place borders on cells, make it very clear to browser that missing cells should not have a border, hence making it clear to the user as well.
