As a developer I want to improve full-text search relevancy by boosting Content



      Usually for a website it can be known in general that Content of specific type (ContentType) should have more or less precedence in full-text search. For example, one might want to give permanent extra importance to videos, news items or category pages over other ContentTypes.

      Similarly, sometimes it's useful to give more importance to specific field of a Content. For example, match on a Content's name should have more impact on the score than any other field.

      In eZ Find it's possible to do that using IndexBoost settings:

      So for Solr Search Engine Bundle we should likewise be able to boost:

      • Content types
      • Fields
      • meta fields (name, ..)
