Google Maps now requires a license key ( see https://jira.ez.no/browse/EZP-26555 ). We will change the default MapLocation Field Type ( https://doc.ez.no/display/DEVELOPER/MapLocation+Field+Type ) from ezgmaplocation to ezosmaplocation as we switch to using OpenStreetMap instead of Google Maps: http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Using_OpenStreetMap

This new OSM default will not prevent developers from using Google Maps; they will simply have to override the default template and implement the key on their own. (This is planned for demonstration in the Bike Ride Tutorial.)
