To enable Developers to view which product name and version they are running, we need to reorganize how we handle our distributions a bit.

The desired outcome is that a developer may view the currently installed version of eZ Platform in the back end and on the command line.

One approach we've discussed, creating a distribution bundle, would allow us to track and bump the semantic version number of eZ Platform's distribution as a whole, allowing us to display that version number in the back end UI and on the command line. This approach is still under discussion, and requires further consideration.
