      Description

For a customization of the search (the Solr index respectively), I am missing a MultipleFloatField ('ez_mfloat'), similar to MultipleIntegerField ('ez_minteger') in the namespace \eZ\Publish\SPI\Search\FieldType.

Even if it's not (yet) needed for the core implementation, it would be nice to have it at least for the sake of completeness.

Ping Roland Benedetti. We did mention multi-fields at some point, did we not ?

We talked about "multiple values' field type in the repository so that people could for instance have a content type with a field where he could have different values (for instance to deal with variations - different names, or different prices), but we don't have this either for integer or float, and it's still just an idea. Domain terminology should be defined more precisely.

But I think Jens Görisch is talking about fields in the Solr index, which is a different beast, which I am really not an expert.
I never brought requirements there So am not really able to help here.

If I understand correctly, Jens Görisch would like a) to store multiple integers into one field and b) get those indexed using a multivalued solr field.

In any case, this particular one, or multi-valued fields in general, isn't planned for now. The easiest would probably be a custom FieldType, and I believe it would not be very complicated to implement. We can assist if needed.

          Hi Jens,

adding to what is said above here we can consider adding this, however I don't think we really need these ourselves anymore of any on the types. Afaik the reason why we had these for search engines was that translations where indexed as multi values on one document, but since then we have moved towards indexing every translation as separate documents.

So what do you need this for? (use case) Is this translation related?
