To verify this behavior, do this, on the admin siteaccess:

1. Create an object such as an article (e.g. Article 1);
2. Create another object (e.g. Article 2), embed Article 1 into an eZXML attribute such as "Body", and publish;
3. Now delete Article 1;
4. When you edit Article 2, deleted object Article 1 is still listed as embedded in "Body", with a suitable message, which is, currently, "This object has been deleted and is no longer available".

Since the object has been deleted, it shouldn't even be listed in the first place.
