      Description

Embed images in Online Editor can be set as inline by checking the "Inline" checkbox.
The issue here is that, if we check the "Inline" checkbox, and then choose an alignment to left or right, the image will no longer behave as an inline object.

There's no such thing as an inline element with alignment, because an object with alignment will behave as a block, and will not be inline anymore.

      Steps to reproduce:

      Start creating an article.

      1. Add an image to your WYSIWYG editor, and set is as "Inline" (img1.png)
      2. Add some text after the image
      3. See how the image behaves when set to inline (img2.png)
      4. Change the properties of the image, and set the alignment to the left side (img3.png)
      5. See how the image behaves now, it is no longer inline (img4.png)
      1. img1.png
        45 kB
      2. img2.png
        49 kB
      3. img3.png

Closing as "Wont' Fix". As discussed with André, this is the intended behavior.
We provided a patch that removes the ability to align *Inline* embed elements but some community members asked to keep it because they are using this feature to tweak the output and depending on the project this might have a different meaning (it's up to the integrators to properly configure the frontend output and to train the editors for their own website).

Please update the Embedded-objects documentation page with the following information (suggestion):

Note: Inline elements shouldn't be aligned, yet eZ Publish will allow to make it possible to tweak the output (something requested by the community).
Unless you specifically want to use the alignment in that way, please ignore the option.
