In the "Place list" view, the button "show me places close to me" when activated, should change to a "disable geolocation" button, as in the requirement.
Reason is that it gives a way to get back to the normal list of places.

alternate way if you prefer:
in the drop down: an entry "disable geo sorting".

I'd rather go for the option 1.
