Currently, persistent connections for the cluster gateway is supported through the Oracle back-end only.

The MySQLi php extension (used in the mysqli cluster back-end) supports persistent connections aswell: http://php.net/manual/en/mysqli.persistconns.php

Is it possible to implement persistent connections for the MySQLi cluster back-end?
