1- in case of errors, the view loads the full pagelayout. instead of return calls, use ezecution::cleanexit

2- extension should not return a blank text with html content-type, but set http content-type header to text/gif, and do a readfile() of the existing gif. Otherwise browsers will display the alt tag for the broken images it sends back

3- the view should catch the exception which can be thrown by the http call to reco server
