Because of this validation data is not persisted if not provided in struct or over REST.
Also Legacy Storage field value converters are unnecessary aware of default validator values defined in validator configruation schema.

This could be solved by adding new method applyDefaultValidatorConfiguration() to FieldType interface, similar as was done for field settings.
