In the sequence of issues such as
http://issues.ez.no/19544 - Showing/hiding a large number of objects generates fatal error.
http://issues.ez.no/16340 - DB Deadlocks on ezcontentobject_tree when updating subnode
We have been able to identify that the fixes / solutions suggested there did not fully solve the root problems when the complexity of the content tree increases.
The problem is hard to reproduce, without a large database, yet it has been possible to identify some bottlenecks in the cache clearing and expiring code which, if enhanced, will reduce the constraints some users have been experiencing.
In this report we aim to congregate all information pertaining to this topic so that we can improve the eZ core's robustness.
Only stable workaround known to work for now: Temporarily disabling caches while executing these procedures seem to enable the operations to fully execute.
