simple use case: mail sending badly configured
notifications pile up in the db
notifications cronjob eats too much memory and dies
workflow cornjob, in the same part but below, stops executing
site goes down the drain

so please fix the notification sending cronjob script to work with 150k notifications piled up without abusing server's memory
