Description
In the installation document 1.0 for eZ Find, section 3.1 should indicate that unless the extension/ezfind/java/logs/ directory is writable by the user running the servlet container, the solr interface won't be available. When the directory isn't writable, Jetty will start, but return a 404 for any requests to the /solr/ area.
Getting the permissions right on install is important if people are running the servlet containers from init.d scripts as low rights users.
Steps to reproduce
- Install the ezfind extension as root
- Start Jetty as a normal or low privilege user
- Try and access http://localhost:8983/solr/admin => 404 not found
