In revision 14861 the behavior of importing existing content objects was changed. The old behavior was to create a new version, and publish the object with the latest version set as published version.

The new behavior is to delete the object and create a new one. This can produce horrible consequences.

In order to fix this, the possibility to fall back to the original behavior must created. This should be done by specifying the preferred behavior in the $options array.
