No indicator on the timeline despite changes on the page

    Details

      Description

In current version, the timeline shows colored sections for the changes to happen in a specific box. It should show the changes to happen in general.
In general, the timeline should be always available.
In specific, especially when we use overflow. Cf the video that I attached:
there are changing about to happen on a block because of an overflow event, but this one is not visualized in the timeline.

My gutt feeling telling it would be simpler to fetch all the events for all the scheduled block, always. UX would be better.

Okay, that makes sense. I was initially thinking along the same lines as the stories you proposed, but didn't know if those stories were too specific and narrow. Now I know that it's actually better to be narrow than to have one or two broad stories.

I'm getting started on the spec for those two stories and will check in with you once they're ready. Then I'll create the JIRA tickets and prioritize them in the backlog.

Roland Benedetti, [~jince.kuruvilla@ez.no] is this still valid?

I think part of this issue is solved. The indicators are appearing now upon addition of content, but the indicators should appear in the block that content is overflowed into.

Ex: If I add content into Block A (with only one slot) at Y time, and I have overflow configured to flow into Block B, then an indicator should appear in Block A at Y time for the added content and an indicator should also appear at Y time for Block B, showing the overflow of content from Block A - this functionality does not exist. We need to build this

It's has to be checked with the current state of the eZ Studio as there were changes in the Schedule Block sorting algorithm

I tested, and I have the impression I can see overflow events on block.
So it seems like the new algorithm works.
I am not 100% sure there are no issues in edge cases, but for now I suggest we close this one, and if new issue are encountered, we write more detailed tickets!
